Think twice!

Good location, clean room.

Laundry was a joke - everything we got back was not really cleaned and some of clothes had chewing gum on it! Additional when we reported it - they told us that they can discount it by 10000 from 160000 dong. In the end we didn't have paid for it - but later they tried to take money from my credit card! Thieves!

Big, clean room in heart of old quarter.

Location was fab - on a herbal street in the old quarter so it smelt wonderful! Staff were really friendly. Toom was big, clean and comfortable. Air con worked well. Lift available too. Would definitely stay here again.

When you showered, the noise from the boiler sounded like someone was screaming at you.

Location was good and friendly staff who organised airport transfer

Pictures were misleading and did not portray what the room was actually like. The room was much poorer quality than the pictures made out. Room description said we would have a private balcony and bathtub but we had neither, and we received no explanation for why we did not have them. Room was not totally clean, soundproofing advertised was non-existent and you could hear everything from the street on the 6th floor, where our room was located.

The people in the lobby were nice and helpful. The place itself needs a thorough review and overhaul

People were nice helpful and friendly

WiFi was weak soap and shampoo were in ridiculous plastic packets that were difficult to open getting into and out of the bathtub was difficult and dangerous the tub itself was old and ugly with worn spots . There wasn’t a toilet paper holder just a roll stuck up a ledge. The toilet seat was broken. The bathroom was awful but clean. A hostel might’ve been better. 0 stars

Super comfy and clean, helpful and friendly staff and good value for money. Would make sure the description matches the room details on booking.com though.

That booking.com advertised the room I booked with a private balcony which is specifically why I booked the room and it does not have a private balcony!

Rooms are comfortable, located in a central location, hosts are most helpful!

The location was fantastic and the rooms were perfect for our stay. The owner was very helpful with suggestions of things for us to see around town, plus she helped us book a trip cruise on Halong Bay and the accommodation upon our return, which saved us so much hassle. The hosts are brilliant thank you very much for making our stay perfect and most enjoyable.

The hotel is on an amazing location - right in the middle of...

The hotel is on an amazing location - right in the middle of Old Quarter so everything is walkable distance. And more to that, you get to know the real Hanoian life with all the street food and traffic. The hotel staff was very kind and helpful, they let us get the room a lot earlier than the check in for free - we arrived at 8am. Rooms were clean and comfortable - AC, fan, hairdryer, minibar.

Wonderful stay at Camellia 5 hotel

The room is perfectly clean, tidy and very convenient. The location is perfect, it is right at the center of the city, so you can save a lot of money from going around the city by grab car or grab bike. The staffs are friendly, helpful and support everything you need for your stay.

The room and and the bathroom could use at least some cosmetic repairs. Otherwise-it was quite clean

In the "special requests" while booking I've informed the property that Im arriving at 4am and asked if possible to check-in at 5am, since I was not staying for the night with the check out on same day at 10pm. I requested to cancel the booking in case early check in is not possible. Then I sent separate mails informing about my check in and check out timings. When I arrived (at 0830am instead of 5am), nobody was expecting me simply because noone read the details of booking. At first I was offered to wait till the normal check in time, but eventually was given a room after 30min. Booking stated that I would be charged a full amount right after confirmation. However when I was checking out I was told they did not receive any payment. I was not able to check as the bank statement was still not updated with the recent transactions. So I was forced to pay at the property again. I will be checking with my bank if I was charged twice or not. The next day (when I was already home) I receive notification that my booking is cancelled. Interesting!
